Just popped up in my facebook feed. There is a VW boneyard in Cali that is going to the crusher. Scrap steel is about 16 cents a pound. He could probably get some bits for his bug if he walks in and offers for than scrap prices.

This is a cool yard, that's a real shame. You can see it from Hwy 41 East. A buddy of mine owns another German specialty shop in town & does loads of aircooled stuff, I let him know. Hopefully he can save some good stuff.

I'm not much of a VW guy but that depresses me. All of those Cali-Clean parts about to go to waste.
Joe's warning made me laugh.
